You should never expect anime episodes airing from Japan the weeks around New Year. I was actually surprised they did last week. New Year’s eve is a very big event in Japan, in contrary to Christmas.

No, these are not fillers, its an entirely new story, similar to the gap between naruto and shippuuden. The human teenage characters have also developed since they’ve grown. They’re drawn differently.

There were exactly 32 filler episodes. 24 of those were in a pretty good filler arc though. So in my opinion the transition was nice. Much better than what Naruto pulled off when going Shippuuden.

Boring episode, 75+ percent flashbackis anime episode covered less than a manga chapter… normally its the other way around by far.(that’s why they need fillers once and a while)

The villain ‘Inaba’ this time around is as far as i remember the first person with a direct approach in regard of his own abilities. He analysed his opponent and then counter-attacked to finish him off before he could grasp what was going on.
